Braxton hicks question

Did you find with your second pregnancy Braxton Hicks were more painful? I don't remember them being that painful with ava. But I woke up this morning about 4am.. REALLLLLY thirsty and desperate for a pee. Like i'd been holding on all night :doh: thanks for waking me up body. Anyway, after I peed I started getting Braxton hicks. They were quite painful too! I had to lay down for a bit. Had a couple of glasses of water after my cup of tea and they settled and went away. But yeah, jsut wanted to know if you remember them being more painful second time round, or is it just different every pregnancy?

Can't say as far as second pg, but I definitely get them often after I pee.

i think mine have become worse every pregnancy... either that or i jsut really know what im looking for now lol

I always got them after going to the loo overnight too, I had them with all three dont think it got worse with each one.

Cant say for 2nd bub, but i always had bad B/H with my pregnancy, and always after i went to the loo, weird hey? I had many times that i had them that painful that i was sure it was labour

For me, I barely even noticed having any first time around, but have them way more frequently this time. They aren't particularly painful though.

Mine were more painful the second time around, and I noticed them far earlier.

I found them more pronounced with DS1, to be honest. My BH with either bub were never painful though - more just a slightly uncomfortable tightening sensation at worst, if that makes sense. I must be behing the times, I didn't realise you were expecting another bub - congrats!

Ditto. Except I would say I didn't notice a single one first time around. I don't find them painful now but sometimes it feels a bit uncomfy and I think baby has shifted then I realise it's BH.

me neither, mine are just the same tightening sensation also... no pain but def noticable...

My BH's started 6 weeks earlier in my second pregnancy, my first I got them reasonably regularly but not everyday, my second pregnancy they started in the evening, but the further along I got the earlier in the day they started, they would stop me what I was doing, and I would have to sit or lie down for a while. I was on Nifedipine to try an stop/calm them at 22 weeks. Then around the 28 week mark, they grew significantly worse and it was then we discovered that I was actually having contractions - I didn't know the difference, I hadn't felt ctx at the from with DD1 as she was posterior so her labour albeit short, was in the back. I can't remember if going to the toilet made them worse I was having them too often :lol:
