Birthing quilt
Due to a broken sewing machine I am on hold. Something to do with the bobbin thingy.
As you can tell I am not any where close to being an expert on the sewing machine.
Can you hire a sewing machine for a couple of days as I don't have enough money to get a new one or get it fixed.
My friend is due in a few weeks and I need to get it finished ASAP.
Also I am not an expert on quilting either and once/if I get the front of the quilt finished I don't know what to do about the back.
It may be a silly question, but do you use one piece of fabric for the back or do you have to sew a few bits together as I cant find material big enough to make the whole back out of.
So far I am quite happy with how it is going.
All the fabric is so different, some is old, some is new, old clothes, scarves, wooly material, so it is a bit different.
I also did some research to find out if anyone else had thought of making one and came onto one which was about indigenous birthing quilts. Very beautiful and their quilts were amazing. A lot of special detail.

If you have a small sewing shop near you that does classes, they may let you hire a machine or use one there
