Which cake theme?

DS 9th B'day is in January and my mum's B'day is in December so I'll be ordering all my supplies for their cakes this month.

I'm so utterly stuck on what to do for DS, between DH and I we've come up with lego, star wars or army but can't decided on which one.

I've got two ideas when it comes to the lego theme, either just a plain but colourful cake and I'll make a giant lego man out of fondant with a rice bubble and marshmallow base or a cake "under construction" where there will be little fondant lego men still laying down rolls of fondant over "bricks".

Star wars will either be a cake in the shape of R2D2 or a plain cake with the logo and a fondant starship on top.

Army would be a plain cake with a fondant tank on top with maybe some trees and stuff.

Which would you pick?

I work with primary school kids and they are all obsessed with LEGO, I'd choose LEGO, you could even use real LEGO men to decorate!

I was thinking the lego aswell... it's so popular again these days!

My vote is for lego too! Though I would take the easy way out and decorate it with real lego! Sounds like you are a very dedicated cake decorator.
