Help !! OPK Advice

Hey Girls,
Well havent been on here for a while and needed some advice. DP and i are planning to start trying for a baby next month now i have just purchased OPKs and have been reading alot about when i need to try. We would really like a boy so we are meant to try the day i ovulate and ive read that i should do opks twice a day from about day 9 until i get a positive then your meant to ovulate 24 hours after you get your first positive OPK. If anyone has the own experience or advice for me id love to hear it please. When we concieved our twins it wasnt planned so this is very different for me.

It depends how long your cycle is.. If it's 28 days then start testing at day 9 however if you are like m e, that would just waste a few tests as I should start testing later , on day 12 ,having a 31-32 day cycle..... Hope that helps...

Sounds like you have the right idea, and for a boy i think it's the day you ovulate to a few days after...... Whereas a girl is before you ovulate.... best of luck... I'd be interested to find put whether it works... The gender swaying :)

You ovulate anywhere from 24-48 hours after your + OPK. You will get to know what a real positive one looks like, I would start getting what I would call positive but then then next day it'd be even darker. You'll figure it out and it will depend on your cycle as to what day you ovulate. I was charting for about 16 months I think and knew I ovulated on around CD16 so didn't start the OPK's until about CD13. Goodluck :)
