My boys have fleas
:(
I Frontlined them earlier this month and I still can't keep the fleas away!
They spend the majority if their outside time under our house or in our neighbors overgrown gardens.
Every time I sit down next to one of the cats to have a look, they take off... They're not riddled, but they just scratch and scratch and scratch. Poor boys....
I went to the petshop and got some Capstar, is there anything else I can do for them?
I feel like a bad mummy :(

You need to stop them getting under the house. I bet there is a nest under there.
I would treat them with front line ever 2 weeks & block under the house & get it sprayed to help under there.
Its probably only going to get worse with summer coming if they keep getting under the house.

frontline is basically useless, which sucks cause we used to get it all the time, there is a new tablet out, called COMFORTIS you can get for dogs, it kills all fleas within 2 hours, and lasts for 4 weeks, it works out to be about $10 a month, but my god, it's worth it, we've been using it for 2 months now and are stoked! you can get it at your vet or most pet shops.

 Nic, you're not a bad Mummy. With the boys going outside and exploring more, it goes with the territory. Summer time is the worst for CB.
Thanks for the tip on the comfortis boobaloo, I'll have to try that one for my girl.
Have to admit Nic, I read the title of the thread and thought boys with fleas  then the lightbulb went on when I saw your name... arrhhh! makes sense now.
Hope the boys will be okay.
and now I'm itching :)

I just feel sorry for them, poor little pussens.
Boobaloo, sorry, should've clarified - my boys are cats :) I wonder if I can get Comfortis for cats?
As sson as they go outside, they just run next door... Straight into the overgrown gardens

Hey Nic, haven't seen you around in ages! That's crappy news about the fleas........don't forget you need to wash everything they lie in/sleep in etc etc so that the fleas don't keep coming back. I use frontline on the dogs and use this exelpet spray that we got from Woolies on all of their bedding etc etc too.
