Maternity pillows
Looking for a kind of U shaped maternity pillow. Anyone have any suggestions? I did find it at toys r us and they claimed they were shipping it to the store near me but it has been awhile and when I rung they claimed to have no idea what I was on about. : (
I have a big body pillow but find it is only supporting the one side of me.
Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated! ; )

I used one of those "boomerang" pillows from back in the day - you know the ones that are either a V shape or a U shape. I can't afford to buy a new one, and it seems to go OK. I sleep on my side with it between my legs and sometimes under my belly or I roll over more and rest my knee on it, so I am sort of laying on my tummy (I'm a tummy sleeper - Oh! how I miss it!). I do get a sore lower back from time to time, so I put a normal pillow behind me too to support my back when I'm on my side.
I hope this makes sense!
I used to work at TRU and at Christmas time, they can be totally hopeless!

I have a body pillow, it's like a normal pillow but the length of the bed almost! I got it from pillow talk, maybe check at a pillow store?
Good luck! It's so much easier to sleep with support pillows!

i just used a boomerang sort of pillow as well - a friend gave it to me but i'm pretty sure it just came from target. i ended up with a bit of a pillow fortress near the end of my PG - i was surrounded!
the bonus with the pillow i had was that it made a great BFing pillow after DS was born

I am DYING for one of those huge U shaped ones. Becuase I am tall, the little short ones just don't do it for me.
I found one online, but it's $99.
Big W and KMart apparently have what they call a "body pillow" but I have heard varying stories about their quality.

i've seen the 'body pillows' at lincraft as well. no idea on quality but i'm sure they were reasonably cheap?

I just bought a stack of regular pillows from Ikea/Target when they were on sale, and then I can rearrange them according to my needs. DH calls it my "palace"
I also use a rolled up cloth nappy under my bump for support.

Thanks so much guys. A girl just rung from TRU and said she found one and it is on its way! Yaaa. This should do the trick. Btw Audax I literally lmao after I read your reply then glanced at your location! Love it. ; )

The body pillow from K-mart is crap!!! it was ok for like a week then went all lumpy and separated!!! I got so frustrated with it that after 2 weeks I went and bought another one from Pillow talk! K-mart one cost $29.95 and the Pillow talk one cost $29.95 too but has a foam core so doesn't separate or go lumpy. It's great!
YAY to TRU finding your pillow!!! :D Sleeping is sooooo much more comfy with the support so hopefully won't be long before you can get it!

I have a million pillows ! lol Well, that might be exaggerating, but sure seems like it. I don't use my body pillow, coz I sleep at the "bottom" of the bed (with my feet touching the footend) with the blankets tucked in and it just really doesn't work for me. I have a boomerang pillow, it just doesn't seem to "sit" right in bed with my bump. Ordinary pillows work ok, but tend just to chuck them out of the bed anyway.
I still seem to sleep on my tummy, but slightly off to the side, iykwim. Otherwise, I'd get no sleep at all. (I mentioned to the midwife I saw the other day that I wake up on my tummy - she said that's ok.)

Thanks guys. I just wanted to let you know I am using the back and belly one. It is well worth it but it is HUGE. Just thought I would let you know. : )
