Any idea where my key might be?

I've gone and lost the only key to one of our cars. Handy! Good thing we have three cars so we can still get around, but I'm stuck with DH's made-for-the-track Silvia with no air-con so right now I'd love my Magna key lol :)

I lost it last Thursday after doing the shopping. Brought in two loads of shopping, and I must have had the key the second time because the car is locked and you can only do that by inserting the key. So I came inside with the second load of shopping, and put it all on the kitchen table. From there I would usually have either put the key with my bag, or on the display case near the door or the arm of our couch. In the meantime I got myself a frozen dinner from the freezer and started heating it in the microwave, then put away all the shopping.

So far I've searched:
- The treck from the car to front door
- My pockets from that day, and the washing machine cos I washed those clothes that night
- The shopping bags
- My handbag
- Under, in, around the couch
- Same for the bookcase/display shelf

I'm just completely lost! I have no way of getting in this car or moving it now, and it's getting frustrating lol. Any help or ideas would be fantastic!

Sometimes i am completely wrong and other times i am right.
When friends ask me, i just think of the question (where is the key) and i say the first thing that pop into my head.
I have just over 50% sucess, so dont rely on me :lol:

All i can see is a brown (wooden) drawer.

I'd check the freezer. I put my keys in there once when I was UTD so I blamed baby brain (lol)

soon as I saw the thread name I thought back of lounge chair or some chair, so had a giggle when I saw you mentioned you put it near the couch.....normally

Thanks for the ideas everyone - Joeve, that's what's driving me crazy lol. I have moved the couch around so many times cos I swear that's the most logical spot lol.

I've just emptied the freezer, no luck :( I got excited about the brown drawer suggestion, there are brown wooden drawers in the kitchen I hadn't checked, but it wasn't there. The display cabinet by the door is also wooden but doesn't have drawers - I still looked again though lol. And checked the desk drawers in the spare room cos I cleaned it the next morning, but still nothing.

I'm having the bad thought that it may have gone in a Salvos bin... There were three bags of old clothes by the cabinet on Thursday night, and on Saturday morning I put them in the Salvos bin. This was before I realised the key was missing. Big bugger if it's gone in there!

Yeah... I've thought of that, and I reckon that's where it must have gone. Which sucks cos the bins have already been emptied lol. Nevermind, we were able to order new ones :)
