Chest Pains ~ HELP

I'm in a lot of pain and don't know why. My chest is sooo sore, it's bringing tear to my eyes. I have pain running down my ride side and down my arm too :(

Any ideas to what it could be?

Don't want to be alarmist but worst case scenario is a heart attack. Get thee to a hospital and get the all clear.

When the pain is radiating down the arm, definately go to hospital. It may end up being indigestion or something, but better to be safe than sorry.

"Any chest pain must be considered cardiac until proven otherwise" Go to the hospital...

Having said that, when I had gallstones the pain was in my chest, on the right side of my body and it hurt everywhere. I thought I was having a heart attack.

Dude, no offence to your Mum but she can't do anything if you start dying. Call the hospital instead.

Mum lives just up the road (500m?) and she took me to the hospital... would have been quicker than ambulance... they hooked me up to the ecg and my heart is perfect. My BP was high so they gave me some meds to get that down which helped ease some of the pain. They took some bloods and I did a wee test. The Dr felt around and said that it was one of two things or both... rib/chest wall pain and/or reflux. They treated for both. I'm still feeling a little strange this morning, but I didn't get a great sleep.
