Woohoo! Look out because they tend to give heaps of them! Last year we planted too many zucchini plants and ended up feeding the neighbourhood LOL!
I look forward to this year's crop, growing veggies is so rewarding :D
I was just going to write the same thing Trish did. We have an overload of zuccinis and squash. Note to self: next year only ONE plant of each.
DH, DD and I picked so much yesterday.
Hooray for zucchini!
What do you do with them? I only ever do zucchini slice
Ahh, there is zucchini hidden in 100 different things around here.
Zucchini and apple muffins
Zucchini grated in all meatballs/meatloaves
Zucchini bread
Zucchini fritters
Zucchini in all our stirfries
you can do it like a gratin
it's a great BLS food too. A very quick steam and it's ready.
And then the rest for the neighbours!
Now...bring on the tomatoes, please :)
I planted some this yr too (my first foray into veg plants at all so did a few diff types of veg) - I am hoping to get some 0 planted about 4 wks ago now, i have little things that I am hoping may turn to vegies but not sure - they look like they may become zucchini flowers - does that sound right. I use heaps of zucchini - so planted 2 plants of them!
Oh true! We hide it in all sorts of things. forgot about that
hehehe, the perennial introduction "Hi, I'm Karyn, have a zucchini"
