I need some novel exercise ideas
I need help!!!
I have put on quite a bit of weight since I moved to my new area 6 or so months ago. I was so active before and now I am really struggling, and am starting to feel quite depressed. My work is very stressful and I really need to keep active to keep on top of things.
Before I moved I used to play soccer twice a week, ride my bike to work, jog twice a week and do an exercise DVD twice a week. Now that I have moved it has pretty much all stopped. I can't ride my bike to work as there are no margins on the side of the road and it is all 100km/hr with big trucks coming within 10cms of me. Soccer season has finished and there is no indoor soccer near me - the closest one is 35mins away and it was really crappy (10 people on a tiny tiny court). I can't do any exercise DVDs as I now live in a caravan. I tried to do it with my computer but I kicked up so much dust that my computer trackpad is playing up now. There are two gyms near me. The first is on a uni campus and it is closed for the whole summer (?!?!) and the other is curves which I am not a big fan of as it is the same every time, has no showers etc, has no aerobics classes and is still expensive. So that only leaves jogging from my previous exercise regime but I really can't do it more than twice a week as it is so boring. I could motivate myself to do it before because it helped with soccer but just on its on, it is booooooring.
Can anyone help with some suggestions?!? No wonder every where I look here people are overweight. I live in a fitness vacuum. The one indoor soccer place here only runs during the normal soccer season (which is crazy as all the soccer players are already playing and have no off season soccer options). Help!!!
