I don't know where this should be posted..
Does anyone know how to keep mosquitoes away from a 2 month old baby? Aeroguard seems really harsh and toxic, and I heard about using a mix of baby oil and dettol but is that ok on such young skin? My bub has been bitten on his face for the last couple of nights the poor thing, and I don't know how to stop them :(
Mixing together some rosemary oil and cedarwood oils work well here. Also you can get some patches from the chemist that can be stuck to the cot or wall that is surpose to deter them as well.
We have massive probs with this. In the end we got a mosquito net to keep them away because everyday he would wake up with a few more bites on his little face.
mosquito nets are good, also tea tree oil mixed with baby oil though im not sure if your bub may be too young for that, maybe just a little bit on the sheets. ive also heard the stone garnet repels mozzies, might be worth a try to get a little bracelet to try out, you can custom order them from mumma rocks, you should find it if you google or shes on facebook too if you wanted to ask about them as i havnt tried them personally just a thought..

Heva&Zacky - it's awful isn't it, seeing the bites on them in the morning. I'm trying to avoid a mosquito net, as DS sleeps in my bed I'd have to put hooks in the ceiling. Also I know what a PITA they can be, I used one for about a year and a half and the little suckers would get in through any gaps or tiny holes, but I lived in a place where malaria was rampant so I had no choice but to use one.
Thanks Noni, I'll find out about the tea tree oil. I wonder how garnet would work?
I also thought of citronella candles, might give that a go during the day but obviously not a good idea for over night.
You might be able to use citronella or something else in a vaporizer overnight?
I know what you mean about it being a PITA, drove me nuts. The last time we used one DS was still tiny so didn't have to worry about him pulling it etc, now hes walking :S lol Good luck with the oils, let us know how you go.
