I was thinking the same thing earlier today when I looked at the shower screen after taking DS to swimming lessons
:bump:
anyone have any idea? :)
Leckert, I've done a bit of "googling" and from what I can gather you sprinkle the bicarb on first and then spray vinegar over the top and scrub. I'm gonna give this a go, I'll let you know how I go :)
What you can also do is just throw a cm of vinegar in a spray bottle, make up with water. Grab some old stockings and put bicarb inside them and use to scrub screens that have been wet with the vinegar mixture :)
Don't forget to rinse the vinegar mixture with a cloth damp with water only.
i normally do 50/50 vinger and water.
and about 2 tablespoons of backing soda about 500ml of water.
you can put the backing soda straight on the wet surface.
Kaz, that is a great idea, I will try that next time I do my shower. I usually do it by throwing bicarb around the place then squirting it with vinegar out of a spray bottle.
For benchtops & stovetops etc I mix it in a glass jar, a few tablespoons of bicarb & then add the vinegar until I get the consistency I want. You can store any left over too, although you may need to add more vinegar when you use it next.
What a brilliant idea about putting the bicarb in some stockings, I always wondered how I could get bicarb to stick to a vertical surface without going everywhere
Cool thread! I've been wondering myself :D
