Kids Yoghurt
DD has been eating our 'adult' Yoghurt...she can't get enough of the stuff (mundella....YUM) but what is the reason they make kids Yoghurt....is the 'adult' stuff really that bad, what has the kids stuff got (or hasn't got)??
I can't remember this sort of thing! DD hasn't had any issues with eating adult Yoghurt either...is it just another marketing ploy!?
-
I think its a marketing thing hun? when we first gave DS1 yoghurt I lokoed at the kids stuff but it was FULL of sugar so we steered clear of it!
She will be fine :)
-
If you are eating the Mundella, then no, don't switch her.
Generally I think they have a little less sugar or something and some have less milk proteins I think, but they are all made from crap.
The Mundella and the Jalna are real yoghurt, so much better for her than any other rubbish masquerading as 'yoghurt'.
-
Adult joghurt is fine for kids. Just as long as you stay clear of the diet ones, which are usually full of artificial sweeteners.
-
same as the others, I think it's just marketing.. I give DD Jalna yoghurt. Have given her the 'kid yoghurt' a couple of times, but the natural stuff is so much better. At least you know it doesn't have sugar/flavourings/preservatives. I can't eat it though, smells a bit like milk vomit to me..lol.
-
I think it's just marketing. I think maybe there's more sugar in kids ones too....
-
I agree re: marketing. I have been making Easiyo natural yoghurt for DS from a young age and he loves it.
-
I give DD mundella yoghurt... well when I can find some in date on the shelf... The kids stuff made her feel yuck because it was too sweet. She hates sweet stuff though
-
my kids eat the vaalia adults yoghurt, they love it!
-
DS has always just had Jalna yoghurt. Never bothered with the kids yoghurt for all of the above reasons!
-
Yep my girls have adult yoghurt, the kids stuff had quite a bit of sugar in it.
-
-
I just went straight to adult yoghurt too, same with juice. I just water normal juice down.
-
Kids yoghurt is designed to get them addicted to sweet, single serve yoghurt with a very high cost per ml and ensure the manufacturers many years of purchases. Or maybe I'm very cynical.
-
kids yoghurt is heaps better, loaded with more sugar. That what kids need right? :wall:
-
The kids yoghurt can have flavorings, colorings and preservatives, nasty stuff as i learnt the hard way with dd1, she had a tube one and went crazy.
-
I just give adduct yoghurt where possible
I do buy squeeze yoghurts but that's more fir convenience
-
DS eats Jalna Natural Yoghurt then I blend in berries, banana etc..
I have given him kids yoghurt a couple of times and each times it has sent him nuts.. he throws massive tanties once he finished as he wanted more, and more....
