DH wants to go to the UK for the same reason. He had one Christmas over there growing up and said Christmas has never been the same back here since. Such a contrast though to spending Christmas afternoon swimming outside in the pool like we do now :)
As much as I would love the "prettiness" of a white Christmas, the ultimate for me is a stinking hot day (that we haven't had for years ) with family and friends and then long hot holidays at the beach!!! Love it!
.... surrounded by family and friends, by those who love you and you love. Oh hang on, I am getting my ultimate Christmas this year.
New York or Paris would be my ultimate Christmas destination
I had a white Christmas in Munich when I was 16, but was too homesick to appreciate it. I'm kicking myself now as I sit and swelter in the humidity of SE Qld!!
Definitely a white christmas with my family...preferably in Scotland or Ireland!
I also wish I could have my grandparents who have passed to be here so they could meet my boys and DH :(
Well for those who want a white christmas, head up to the Grampians, you may get your wish ;) There's snow predicted this Sunday night!
We sort of had a white Christmas a few years ago! It snowed on Christmas Day, we woke up to white snow covered mountains around us. My brother and DH went up and brought some snow back and we all made a snowman on Christmas morning.
My ulitmate Christmas would be to find a present under the tree for me. I never get Christmas presents from DH :(
hehehe Tinks, my parents were visiting from Brissie that Christmas, and absolutely froze while waiting for us to pick them up from the B&B they were staying at!!!! We went to Mt Dandenong and admired the snow!!!
I have had enough white Christmas' to last me a lifetime, but a Christmas with my mum, brother and sister would be wonderful. Of course that would be a White Christmas anyway unless I could persuade them all to fly out here:lol:
My ultimate Christmas is to be in a Resort somewhere in Bali or Fiji with my DH and kids and most ;) of DH's family and away from the gift giving and cleaning up after pigging out. I would rather pig out and then be able to walk away :)
We would be there a week before Christmas and a week after..to celebrate New Year as well!
I'd like to go home to Scotland, just for the day and then come back here. Wish that we could beam ourselves around just like in Star Trek. That would be cool.
Christmas in the heat just isn't the same for me, I'm afraid :(
