So... is it too late to start....

.. in cloth?

Pie is 17 months old. I have always loved the idea of cloth but thought I'd never keep up with the washing, I find it hard enough to keep up with clothes washing for us all....
But I have been thinking about getting some cloth pads for myself, and then I was thinking about how nice they would be :D and then I started thinking it would hardly be fair to keep putting disposables on her....

ANYWAY, I thought I might just try a few, she wouldn't have to be in them full time but it would have to be nicer than being in sposies full time.

But she's 17 months.. I guess we don't have that much longer in nappies at all.

I kind of really want to, but I wonder if it's silly :dunno:

Never too late hun! Even if you just get a few, it's still a few less sposies that she will have on. MCN's keep their value pretty well too, so if you want to sell them on after you've finished with them you should be able to get most of your money back.

Careful - its an addiction. Oh, and unfortunately nobody can tell you which nappies are good for your baby, its a bit of hit and miss sometimes. I have tried LOTS of brands and absolutely hate some nappies because they didn't work here, but other people love them because they work for their baby. So yeah - lots of choice out there - just stay away from EBAY!!!

Cause she's 17months old you need something that is going to be very absorbent...they tend to do a big wee at once rather then lots of little ones.
I wouldnt get any IB (itti bitti's) because they are a small size and you wont get your moneys worth...CT's tend to leak quickly on bigger kids

i would jump in the nappy thread and describe Pie's build so that those with older bubs can suggest what works for them. we're pretty lucky in that we haven't really had any "fails" but we do have "preferred" nappies, mostly due to the absorbancy factor i think! we have our "at home, can change more often" nappies vs the "going out, last longer" or "pretty" nappies lol

probably more a general description (chubby v chicken legs, skinny belly v chubby pot)

DD has a little pot belly and slim ish (not chicken) legs. she fits well in CGR and Widdlewuns, still in itti's, twinkle lily, bonnibuns, trissy tots, b-cheeks (that's probably our list of fave fits).
