Cmon lil Bub
Grr how frustrating is this waiting game?!?!? :wall:
So I am due today. But throughout the pregnancy I was worried for some reason that I would deliver before 30 weeks. Why?? I have no idea. Anyway 30 weeks came and went. Yippee! Now I am at the dreaded 40 weeks. I kept saying to my midwife that the birth was going to be on the 20th December. Was just before chrissy, I could enjoy a big nice fat Chrissy lunch and show off our new bundle of joy.
It actually got to a point where prior to the 20th I was begging to be induced. Having a mixture of SPD as well as pregnancy induced Carpal Tunnel is not a nice way to start the festive season. I was getting no sleep and in constant pain :( Lol the poor midwife - every time she came around I would burst into tears begging for one thing to go right "so induce me already!!!!" But as you can see today here I sit. I made my due date. Not sure if im real happy about that though. Lol
So anyway I had a membrane stretch and sweep at 39 + 1. Things are going to move now! Yee haa!! Well the only thing it did was get my hopes up and make me lose a golf ball of snot like stuff, and that wasnt from my nose either ... :o Then to add insult to injury, a young girl I know who was due with her first baby 3 days after me went into labour and had her bub. Oh I wanted to cry. This is baby number 5, shouldnt it be falling out of me already?? Especially with all the BH's and intimate dates with Edward Scissorhands ... If you get my drift ....
So I had another sweep yesterday at 39 + 1. Surely this one has to work?? Cervix is favourable, 3cm dilated, baby engaged .... Oh I know it was only yesterday it happened again, but this waiting to see is soooooo frustrating!! The only thing this sweep has accomplished at the moment is I get a 2 second tightening around my back and belly when I sneeze or cough! ... ??? Strange, I know, but nothing about this pregnancy has been normal.
So yes, waiting waiting waiting. I think pregnancy bellies should come with a timer. One that ticks down and then a big alarm bell sounds when its time!! :) Would certainly save this waiting game and the frustration that comes with it! Argggg!!

 being a person that went to 42 weeks in one pregnancy and 41 + 5 in another - I know how you feel!!
Start shaking your body, thats what helped me start off the contractions. From head to feet - just shake! Stop when you feel a contraction, and then start up again once its finished. Better than sex apparently!
-
Right!! Shake - Check!! :) Cheers!! Lol (Oh and as TMI as it is, the say "swallowing" hubby's end product is better than having it sit) Ewww!! Hehehe
-
Ewwwwwwwwwwww no haven't heard that one before!! LOL... I do the EPO tablets up you-know-where and I'll DTD if I absolutely have to ... but gee... I'd probably puke if I had to swallow it.. ROFL!!!
