Hi, My little man is 8mths old now and for a little bit now he has stiffened his whole body and tenses and groans. Has anyone else come across this? do you know what causes it? i have a doctors appt in a couple of days but it just seems really bad at the moment and not sure if i should take him to hospital to get seen quicker?
Any advice please!

Don't wait for GP appt in few days go to emerg now and get checked out.

thanks everyone, before I got your replies I went to my little local hospital and had him seen straight away. It turns out I am up for mummy of the year award :)
He has a sore bowel due to being given weetbix for breakky. No constipation or anything, just a sore belly from trying to process the high fibre content. so a diet change should have him good as new within a day or so.

Oh poor darling, weetbix is nasty for tiny tummies, it should be labelled 12mths+. I hope he is feeling better tomorrow. Don't be to hard on yourself, being a mummy is a minefield.
He is just great now, thanks! No more weetbix, he has the multigrain (6m+) farex cereal or a piece of white bread/toast. it has pretty much completely stopped. Its amazing to learn of all the little things that can cause them upsets!
