Opaque color discharge just started at 5 weeks preg? Is this normal?

Hi ladies,

It's saturday night and I can't shake off what I discovered on wiping when on the toilet a minute ago!

I am 5 weeks preg and I just started getting opaque, the lightest of all colors discharge. Is this normal? Could this be the hormones or something to worry about?

There was no blood(colors such as red or brown just opaque) and it just started as I haven't had it earlier on.

Could this be the start of true blooding breaking through?

Please advise me what it could be or if you experienced this I am a totally worry wort by nature. Thankyou.

That sounds like the normal vaginal discharge most woman get (regardless of pregnancy or not). Is vaginal discharge abnormal for you? If you don't normally get any discharge or mucous, and if it has a abnormal smell or you start to get pain I'd probably go see your dr, you could have an infection or something, which isn't uncommon in pregnancy :)

Does it seem like your 'normal' discharge, or similar just more of it?
You can get a lot more discharge when you are pregnant, it might even be more watery than normal. I had tonnes of extra watery discharge while pregnant and it was all normal.

Thanks ladies, I experience discharge before pregnancy and now so I feel comforted knowing this is normal. Everything in the first trimester is freaking me out! Lol.

Sounds very normal and you will find that as your pregnancy progresses you may get more c/m. Just keep an eye on it though and if you notice any other changes get it checked out as thrush is common in pregnancy.
