We lodged our FTB claim for the lump sum early last week and were told around 28 days. Just wondering if I should expect it to be longer due to the new demand from the people needing flood assistance?
TIA

short answer, yes - processing staff are being pulled from their usual work to assist with processing of emergency payment claims. Most Lump Sum claims are finalised in less than 28 days...and processing FTB (and other claims) within their usual time standard is still a priority...so there is a good chance it will be done inside 28 days...but be prepared for the possibility for it to take a little longer.
Thanks. I totally understand that the flood victims will take precedence, we're just trying to juggle our finances atm and didn't want to expect this if it wasn't coming at the time we were expecting it.
Thanks for replying
you're welcome - I know it can be difficult when you're waiting on the money to come in! If I hear anything further I'll let you know :)
Thanks for the replies, we got our FTB into our account last night. So didn't take any longer than what was expected :)
We lodged ours on the 9th March and recieved the back pay and one week of baby bonus on friday 25th March.. so 15 days it took.
