Recommendations for Sunscreen and Mosquito repellant for baby

What brands of sunscreen and mosquito repellant do you use on babies / little people? Where do you purchase it from?

i use wotnot sunscreen from the health food shop, its exxy but DD1 doesnt react to it.
for insect repellant we have thursday plantation but i havent used it on the girls

Hmm reminds me hun i have some here you can try on DD.. from my 'friend' at MG (the naturopath), can't remember the brand now but will bring some on our next walk.

Repellant, 'babies only' bought online during nappy hunt from *somewhere*! Tis lovely, just water and essential oils and works.

ETA Tis also nice as a refreshing mist on hot day.

DD2 has sensitive skin so all good so far but wkd like a better sunscreen.

we were using Hamilton's for DD who has very sensitive skin. And plain aeroguard. However, I just found the other day that the Cancer Council has a suncreen 30+ with insect repellent in it!!! This sunscreen has always been good on my and my sisters very sensitive skin and DD has had no issues either. It's one product instead of two - not that my DD has ever objected to cream being put on!

Talking to my pharmacist about baby/childrens sunscreen and she said it is safest to use zink cream I got a clear zink for my 2 not sure about repelant

I use 'Off' on my kids/babies - only because it is the only one that seems to stop sandflies as well. My kids all have horrendous allergic reactions to sandfly bites so I figure that even though it is not ideal for babies, preventing sandfly bites outweighs the risks. We have never had any problems or allergic reactions to it either.

I usually use Banana Boat suncream spray for kids because it only takes a few seconds to apply and they don't protest as much with it. I did use the Banana Boat for baby suncream for a while but found that the spray seemed just as okay.

I always try it on a small patch of their skin first for a day before I put it all over them - usually just inside their elbow because that is fairly sensitive in there and if they are going to react, they would react there. DS has horrible eczema but doesn't react to the repellent or suncream but insect bites and sunburn flare his skin up badly.

Is sunscreen / insect repellant safe to use on little bubbas ie. under 6 months? I can't remember from DS!

I use ego toddler roll on.

Aerogard have not used on kids.

My GP recommended for my DD when little the Hamilton Toddler SPF 30+ (pink & white label) for young delicate skin.

DD use to get a bit of eczmna and this product never caused her any irritation whatsoever.

I still buy it for her and get the handy 50ml roll-on lotion, i buy it from Priceline for under $9, it last her a good two Summers :D

you can get RID with sunscreen. Also, the Cancer Council does a similiar one. I saw them yesterday at Chemist Warehouse
