Anyone>>>>>?????
If it's runny then it doesn't sound like constipation. Maybe he's just adjusting to the differing sensation of digesting food.
Seeing as he is so little maybe try something different or hold off for a bit longer? :dunno: If he is uncomfortable and it's from the solids that is what I would do.
Try taking him off the solids for a couple of days, see if it makes a difference. When you start again try a different type of food, maybe he just doesn't respond well to pumpkin so perhaps try some brocolli (has a nice handle for him to hold as he munches) or softly cooked carrot sticks. Good luck :)
Its his food that is runny not his poop.. Chemist said he needs fiber.. mmm for a 6 month old... interesting! And yup he is straining so he is constipated. Hope the drops work soon!
Thanks
oh. I see. Then I'd also suggest stopping the solids for a bit and seeing how you go.
Ya we have stopped the solids 2 days ago already... mmm
Just give him a couple of days to work it out his system then. Breastmilk is a great laxative :)
Hi,
A bit of straining is fairly normal for anyone, including babies. even fully breastfed babies can have a bit of a grunt and squirm when they poo. Constipation refers to hard, dry, infrequent and pellety poos. is that what it is, or just a bit firmer than usual. your little one is young for food, so it's ok to wait a little longer to start solids. Make sure he has plenty of breast milk, and many people start with water around the same time as they start solids at 6mnths
