Where do you keep School newsletters/bulletins etc
ETA half of my post seems to be AWOL I will update it when I get home
I obviously don't have school news letters yet, but any info I need to reference such as paperwork for appointments, bills that need paying, invites to parties or dinners etc go in a letter stand I have that sits on my desk organised by date.
Once the appointment or whatever it is has been and gone I chuck the paperwork in the bin or file it away.
Hope that helps :)
 what's a letter stand?
I have a plastic slip thing (you know what you put into binder folders) stuck onto cardboard, a big bigger than the size of the plastic slip with a couple of crappy magnets (that you can get from business) stuck to the reverse side. Then it is put onto my fridge.
They usually hang around on the kitchen bench for a few days before being tossed. If there are any important dates etc on them that I need to write down, I do it straight away before I forget. The kids usually bring home a class newsletter at the start of each term with dates for excursions, news days, library days etc and those ones I pin onto the notice board in our office.
I chuck the newsletters out after I read them and keep any important notices on the fridge.
whiteboard with a list, you can also get magnets that have bulldog clips, so either get a magnetic whiteboard or stick them on the fridge.
I've also used a corkboard with pins, but with your little ones Pandora I'd probably skip that.
One of my girlfriends, with a blended family of 4, uses excel to keep track of access visits, appts etc, she also has this in outlook and synched to her phone. Another uses the calender section of gmail.
I have a concertina file where I keep uniform lists, tuckshop lists etc. Newsletter, I used to write down any dates I needed& then bin them - but both schools now have e-newsletters which is the BEST thing ever.
Ok I cant get my original post to copy here.
Whatever I do can't be in sight. DH doesn't like stuff on benchtops or the fridge for long and will move them, or put them in a pile to be hidden and forgotten or recycled.
I have to have them in sight or I will forget.
So, I'm trying to find something I could possibly adhere to the inside of the pantry door. That way I see it all the time but it's not "messing up" the kitchen.
You know how in windows on the computer you can cascade you open applications? That's kind of what I want. A cascade of 4-5 pockets I can hang vertically.
Is there anything like this available?
My mum had one of those on the inside of the pantry door when we were kids Pandora (she had issues with stuff on benches and fridge too lol). It was wood. I have no idea where she got it or if they're still available.
OHHHH
I've just remembered! A friend of mine has a diary where she writes all the important stuff in. She puts the notices in the page for the day they're due then when they're paid or whatever she moves them to the date of the excursion or whatever it its. That might be an idea, you could put the diary in your bag or a drawer out of reach.
Will have a look at ikea next week when I'm there, they may have something.
mum has one one on the wall with three vertical slots on it so you must be able to get them....will ask...
I can't quote or rep you all on iPhone but thanks everyone.
Mel it would be great I think that's what I am after.
I also thought maybe I could sew something like that too but not sure I think I want something rigid.
