Do you spray your house for pests?

I'm not sure what to do. We have been in our house for over a year now and haven't sprayed. I've noticed alot of red back webs around the perimeters of the house and now in trees and at the bottom if window cavities (we have shutters).

I also saw a little spider with a white stripe on it's back. What is that?

I'm thinking we should spray outside but DH is against it. He doesn't like the idea of chemicals etc on our property. I've seen a company that claims to be non toxic but not sure how true that is.

Can surface spray from the shops work as a better solution? What do you do? I want a non toxic environment but also don't want DS to be bitten and want to feel safe in my backyard. Please give me some advice. Thanks!

We don't spray our house but sometimes I think we should.

BTW I read the thread title as "Do you spray your house for guests?". Maybe that's a sign that I need a break from mine lol.

Lol that's funny. It sounds like you are busy with people that could give you a break!

Anyone else? Id love done ideas on what people think about spraying.

I only spray one spot that's a gap under the wall. I saw a HUGE redback crawl in there one day and the gap goes through to my kitchen so I didn't want anything getting in. DD can't get the sprayed area in there though. We have however sprayed around the granny flat because there were heaps of redbacks around there and it's near DD's cubby house area. That was after I spotted quite a few fully grown females getting around and it scared the hell out of me
