So dd1 is very social and loves company, she goes to daycare/kinder and swims so she has friends but no one who plays at home other than dd2 or her cousins but they live on the other side of town.
It's so heartbreaking when she asks where are my friends. We went away this weekend and she asked again.
I have to make it my mission this year to find her friends she can have play dates with.
Can you ask some of her daycare/kinder or swimming friends?
Isn't it funny they are such busy little creatures and yet its still little things like having a friend over that gets them so so excited.

I have Lachlan who is almost 7 and still doesn't really have any friends and he goes to school !! Yeah he plays with kids in the school yard (some times), but most of the parents don't pick these kids up they go home with older siblings. Last year I wrote notes in about 5 boys communications books asking parents if their child could come and play one day. Left my number and address, not one contacted me.
He has had a few play dates with a little girl and even slept over there at the end of last year, but he came home saying he didn't want to go back as he wasn't given breakfast. He apparently started asking to come home from 10am, and was brought back at 11am.
This year he is in a class with all new kids. So I hoping he finds a friend amongst them.
Oskar is the same... every day he asks me what we are doing and then ... it's always can so and so come and play. He just wants someone to play with all the time and Elijah just doesn't cut the mustard cos he wanders off on his own to do what he wants lol.
Aww, have you got a nice playgroup nearby? DD has made some great friends from hers!
:yeahthat: the kids have some "good" friends they met at playgroup, we dont see them that often outside of group, but when we do they love it, get all excited and wont stop talking (to me) about it for a week or more!:
we'll have to catch up then darl so our girls can play together!!

Most of the playgroups that we thought about joining are on days she can't go.
Life with three means we are always swimming or juggling appointments, but i think it's important for me to find the time for her to play now she is asking.
