Just curious how many BB ladies monitor their hcg through early pregnancy, at least twice? [Not just a qualitative, but series of quantatative betas.]
Wish I could add a poll!
I am tempted not to next pregnancy.

Yes I always have done as I had a miscarriage for my first pregnancy. I always have 3 quantative BTs done to check my HCG levels.
Goodluck with yours xxx
Yes I did but only because I had an unexpected miscarriage and didn't want to be shocked, again by a missed miscarriage.... But I only did it for three weeks every few days.... In the end I looked like a drug addict coz they would always bruise me......
My last one was at 8 weeks and then an ultrasound at 9- to confirm all was good .....
I was going to initially, as there was a history of m/c, but when my first test came back around the 5-6 week mark at 38,000, I was no longer worried.
I am having it done unitl we see a heartbeat, then i am having weekly u/s.
We did two in my Secomd pregnancy because of the miscarriage of one twin , but after the second result wasn't ver good, we went to US... and a lot of them when I had a big bleed.
I did with DD because I had had a m/c right before I fell pregnant with her and I felt like I needed some kind of information to make me feel everything was ok in there! But this time I didn't. I didn't see the point, I felt that if something was going to go wrong then I unfortunately couldn't do anything about it.
I have but only with this pregnancy due to past ectopic pregnancies and the increased risk of it happening again. I had 4 BTS for BHCG at 12DPO, 14DPO, 17DPO AND 19DPO (the first two were done by the IVF clinic and the second 2 the emergency department) I'd do the same next time also.
With DD's pregnancy we got two tests done to compare them (a few days apart) only because I'd had an early m/c before I conceived her and was a bit nervous and wanted it to feel real.
This time around, we didn't bother. Didn't want the stress.
First time I didn't, but it turned out to be a molar pregnancy.
Which is why for the second, and any subsequent, I was on 48 hourly, and then weekly betas up to 13 weeks. But I'd rather have them than a dating scan. Cos I'm weird like that :D
Both preg I only had 1 blood test in early preg then my next BT wasn't until my 13 week scan.
I must say that I have never had a MC so its a little different for me than the others.
Funny you mention this I was thinking about this today.
I never thought I would ever be in the 'multiple miscarriage' club, but I am. I have had a kazillion blood tests, and I am very lucky to already have my two beautiful children.
Should I be blessed with another pregnancy I will not be enquiring about my test results at all.
Like you said Maruschke, it's just another stressor. What will be will be and knowing or not know blood test results really has very little relevance. Knowing in the past hasn't stopped anything, neither has a 'great result'.
Kim  I really know what you mean.
With DD1, I had really really low progesterone, to the point where the printout said that the pregnancy was doomed but may recover. Huh? How incredibly stressful and I was worried sick til the 12 week scan. Far later on I realised that this was still within the normal bounds. But those 8ish weeks were just crud.
I feel like the next pregnancy has the best chance of success if I minimise stress and that means NOT getting HCG but waiting til the first scan.
Phew, glad to hear I am not alone in this!
I do as it is part of the IVF process, some clinics (mine) do heaps of BT.
