You know the book "Shoes from Grandpa"??
Ok, so this has been bugging me for AGES so I thought I'd post in here, to see if it was just me or if I am justified in being annoyed! Lol
Its about the book "Shoes from Grandpa" by Mem Fox.
We have it, and Ive also seen it on playschool.
Anyhoo, the bit that gets to me is the line "I'll buy you a blouse with ribbons and bows" because the words 'blouse' and 'bows' dont rhyme - and they should!
I almost want to say the word blouse as blows just so it does!
If you haven't read the book, its a series of lines with items of clothing that all rhyme - like "I'll buy you some socks from the local shops" or "I'll buy you a skirt that won't show the dirt"
Every time I read it it bugs me!
Am I completely nuts???
