Anyone purchase or use the Phil and Ted Traveller port a cot?
The weight is 2.5 kilos and it sounds too good to be true!
Hoping to take with to Vietnam and Bali at the end of the year as we will be in several spots. Thought it may provide some consistency for bubs.
Any reviews would be fabulous.
We have one and love it. So does DD. It is as tiny and lightweight as they say! It's a lot narrower than a traditional portacot but it doesn't phase our DD (who's is 17 months and last used it at New Years). Friends of ours have one too and their son loves it as well.
The only negative in my opinion is it doesn't come with a sheet and as it's narrow, a standard fitted cot sheet is too baggy. My mum solved this problem though and sewed up a flat cot sheet to fit and put velcro on the end (so DD was less likely to try and get inside it IYKWIM) so we insert the inflatable matress into the sheet sack then put that inside the cot. Works a treat :clap:

We have one but unfortunately our little guy hates it. He was nearly 1 when we first used it though, I think if he was in it from an earlier age it would've been okay.
The size and weight of it is really good for travelling. Once you've put it up a couple of times it's easy, though at first it's quite daunting!
Whereabouts are you? I'm probably going to sell ours.
Fantastic to hear Taurean! I don't have a mom that sews but I found a lovely lady who makes custom sheets on Ebay so sure she could do some from me! Thank for that tip, velcro sounds fabulous!

Perfect! Get a couple of sheets so you have a spare. The inflatable mattress can be inserted into a little slip in the base of the cot but we much prefer to put it inside the cot so DD is sleeping on the sheet instead of the floor of the cot ITMS. We also often take our Angel Care monitor with us so we insert the movement pads into the slip in the base :):
I agree with CM, practice putting it up and down a few times. We have done a lot of camping so we had it mastered in no time. DH puts it up (and away) in less than a couple of minutes now. Also agree with using it early so your LO gets use to it. DD used it for the first time around 6 months.

We are going camping for a few weeks and need a cot to fit in a particular spot in the camper trailer.
This could be a bit cheeky - but does anyone have one we could borrow / hire for a weekend so we can try it before we commit to purchase something that might not work?

Just wondering how you use the angelcare monitor with the phil & teds portacot, do you need to place plywood in the slip as well or does it work against the floor?
Any advice would be much appreciated as i'm thinking of purchasing this portacot but really want to be able to use the monitor with it.

We just slip our monitor pads into the base of the cot where the mattress is supposed to go (it's a pocket in the bottom of the cot) and we put our mattress, with a fitted sheet over it (my mum made one to fit) inside the cot. It works fine there as it's in direct contact with the floor but we always give it a test run before we put her in the cot to make sure it's working ok.
It works really well, we haven't had a problem with it at all. I hope that helps!
