Supposedly, they do, if you can believe what you read online. The contracting of the uterus is supposed to help implant. We always give it a go but hmm maybe that's not a great sign.
I have always thought it was catapult the egg out of the uterus before it had a chance to implant! I know it sounds silly but my mind thinks it sounds totally logical.
I think 7-10 days is right for implantation. Also, having her O after the sperm is deposited is supposed to help too.
I remember when I was approaching 40 weeks with DD1, O felt really weird because it was a whole stomach contraction O.o.
We're doing IUI so orgasm makes no difference afterwards
Hope it goes well for Shel.
it can still help post IUI Leash - DH and i were told to make sure i O'd cos the contraction of the uterus helps the swimmers get up to the tubes rather than just in the uterus where it's deposited.
i don't know if it's aids implantation, but we were told just to do whatever we normally do. if you're not doing IUI in a hetero relationship, you wouldn't know exact timing, so you wouldn't avoid DTD in the implantation window (which is generally 6-10 dpo, can be as late as 12 dpo though) - so i don't see how it could harm anything. the contractions of the uterus won't push anything out though, i promise!
you have to picture the uterus like two pieces of buttered bread smooshed together - nothing is going to catapult anything out of there!
So... it can't jolt anything around and out?
LOL, I thought the same thing! I just couldn't get the image out of my head of this little embryo just ready to implant and then being chucked around and falling out, pmsl.
But apparently, no, that is not the case!!
Good luck!!!!
Hmmm.....
See you all in a bit :p
