Bean bags - love or loathe?

Do you love bean bags or loathe them?

If you love them, what are your best bean bag tips?

Loathe. I hate the noise, they're never quite comfy and they always seem to smell funny after a while.

LOVE! But filled with foam bits rather than beans. Much easier to fill, much easier to empty and no noise issues :)

mum bought the kids some for christmas they have been banished to the toy room! hate the sound of them

Only with a liner so you can wash the cover. (but they still smell manky after awhile)

Loathe. They make me feel claustrophobic... it's like they're trying to swallow me whole. And the same goes for waterbeds.

we used to have a beanbag couch! yes, a COUCH! it was so frikkin' awesome...ahhh falling asleep in that baby was bliss. but then we got a 'grown up' couch and i gifted it...dream of it still today...

my best tip is to keep the kitty kats of them. ours really liked to paw at it before lying down for a nap. so got a few nicks in it (not enough to cause leakage issues, but enough to annoy me lol)

Edit: mine was a vinyl number so never had the smell issues that others are mentioning...thankfully!

I Loathe them as well....can stand the noise and I find them just plain uncomfortable.

I love sitting in them but I hate the way they look and they take up too much space. Mine are stored in the playroom and I still hate the way they take up too much space and loll about everywhere - they are a bit like teenagers :lol:

Tip - maybe get the more structured ones so that they retain shape a bit better and don't look like huge lumps just sitting there.

Dont like them! They're too freaking noisy. You can only get comfy once, it's never the same again.

I have a foot stool with those little beans in it and omg, while it's good to put my feet up, I don't dare move!

I want to buy one cause i only have a little 2 seater couch, I reckon a beanbag will be a good extra chair. I like laying on them and watching telly too, the noise doesnt bother me

don't like the ordinary shaped ones but DD has the lips shape and it is really comfy. but gawd they are a nightmare to fill.
