Paid parental leave ????

Hi there.

I registered and did all my paper work within the 3 months before my baby was due.
I received a confirmation letter from centre link re paid parental leave and Family assistance incl immunisation allowance and FTB on the 29th Dec both saying all good, just tell us when you register the birth once it happens.

I gave an estimated start date of 22/01/2011. Baby arrived on 23/01/2011.
I filled out all the paperwork from the hospital and posted it back on the 25th/01/2011.

How long does it take to recieve payment?

Do I get back paid to the baby's birth date or my estimated start date or neither?

Unfortunately, because of the floods, it's a nightmare to get through on the phone and the online stuff doesnt answer my questions...

Please help.

normal processing time is 3 weeks from receipt of paper work
at the moment it's blowing out to around 4 weeks
it will be dealt with asap
your ftb will be backdated to DOB, ppl i THINK gets backdated but i don't want to say for sure as i've not seen too many ppl cases just yet
