Caught a bug to take to pre-school - what do I do with it till then?

We went out onto the verandah this arvo & there was this wierd chrysalis (partially made with sticks) on the railing and a ugly head poking out. I went to get the camera so DS could take a picture to pre-school tomorrow, but by the time I got back it'd fallen down & I thought the catepillar had left the premises. So I got a takeaway container & put the chrysalis in it for him to take instead.

Then I looked over at it and it was moving. Saw the ugly head again. I've broken a hole into the lid for air, what else do I need to do?

It looks like something out of a horror movie when it comes out of its house, its freaking me out a bit!

Just put a bit of green leaves and grass in the container and make sure it has airholes - and return to its natural environment once finished. :D

OOOH I LOVE looking at bugs - although they freak me out a bit :lol: Would love to see a photo? hehehe :hide:
