Squeezing out lots of colostrum.....could DD be wanting to BF again?

DD self-weaned around 22mths of age recently..... a combination of the pregnancy and my milk changes, and also her not effectively sucking each time she fed....all led to this.
I accepted that we'd stopped a few weeks ago and so happy that we made it to 22mths given our difficult start we had with it all :)

Now that I'm 25 weeks pg, my boobs have exploded :o and my colostrum has come in and unlike last pregnancy where I never had any, this time around I am squeezing HEAPS out!! I squeezed it today and it literally ran down my nipple and boob! :o I was surprised :lol:I didn't want to waste it, knowing how precious this stuff is and how nutrient rich it is! So DD saw me doing this and asked for it and so I let her have a suck (which she still does now and then for comfort, dry sucking..) and she tasted the colostrum and seemed interested....went back again for some more....

Could this mean she might potentially start up BF'ing again? I don't mind either way, I'm just curious and would like to hear anyone's stories/experiences with this?

If she asks, I'll let her have a go for now and see what happens I guess. I haven't necessarily ever wanted to tandem feed but if DD wanted to, then why not. Although in saying this, I'm not too sure if she's lost that ability to suck effectively or not? :dunno:

Im no breastfeeding expert by any means but personally, I would just go with the flow. If she wants it, give it to her. As for the sucking efficently... I have no idea.

Yeah that's what we're doing, just letting her have a suck if and when she asks for it (which since yesterday, hasn't happened).....hopefully some Mum's who have been in this situation before will come in and give me their experiences :D

At a guess, I would say your body is just getting ready for the new baby. I have been leaking colostrum this whole pg but DS hasn't BF since he was 8mo.
