Boy or girl name?
For me its always been a boys name but that was because of a movie I saw when younger.
However I have a friend with a little girl called bailey and it seems to suit her.
I have always seen Bailey as a boys name, but when it came to choosing a girls name, my husband was set on Bailey, so i comprimised and said we could have it as a girls name if we could change the spelling, so we have a 5 yr old dd Bailea :)
We think it looks more feminine on paper.
It's my maiden name, so it's not one I'd actually use as a first name (I'd just find it too confusing!). The Baby Name Wizard site says Bailey is much more common as a girls name than a boys name, but I think it would suit either.
I think it could be for both, my cousins son is Bailee
We have a boy Bailey
Orginially I thought of Bailey as a boys name, but in the last few years I have noticed that more and more girls are being named Bailey, sometimes with different spelling. I guess it is how strong you feel on unisex names.
I think both. I know a boy (spelt Bayley) and a girl (Bailey) so I see it as both.
Girl here. Went to school with a girl named Bailea.
My cousin's son is Bailey, so I only view it as a boy...
I would use it as a boys name, I'm from the uk and it would be classed as boy there that's maybe why.....it wasn't until I came to Australia I heard it vas a girls name.
it's always gonna be a dogs name for me i'm afraid. friends of ours have used it for a boys middle name tho...
well DS's name is Bailey so i've always thought of it as a boys name...
