"theres a party popper up my nose mummy"

OK, yesterday, i almost fell over, i could not belive what my 3yo was trying to tell me, "theres a party popper up my nose, its stuck mummy"
thinking he ment he had a booger stuck, i gave him a tissue and told him to blow... nothing, i had a look, and there was something stuck up his nose, definately NOT a booger!
i couldnt get the blasted thing out, DF finaly got it out, and it was a crunched up, you know the white and red cardboard disk over the end of the party poppers? yeah one of them!:o

ive since told DF he gets it from his side, BIL has been in hospital after sticking a whole tissue up his nose, and SIL has had to have a bead surgicaly removed from her ear....

Has anyone else got children who put things were there not ment to go??

hahaha... when I was a kid, maybe 4yo, i stuck a piece of tambark up my nose!! You know those big wood chips at playgrounds? Yeah one of them.. It got stuck! OLOL

My DD1 has put those little bean bag ball thingys up her nose before. I managed to get them out without having to go to the ED or anything though.

My DD2 was notorious for this. We ended up in ED for the mince. She shoved it so far up even the suction hose had trouble getting it out and she also put some of the indian baja mix up there but that burnt from the spices so she hasn't done it since lol

I used to work in a pead ED and it used to crack me up seeing all the kids come in with things stuck up their noses!! :lol:

Both girls have been to the ED with something up their nose. My eldest with playdough and my youngest with popcorn. I think it is one of those rites of passage for being a parent :rolleyes:

we have had stickers and beads, I have the tools to get them out at home.
but its very funny..

DS3 decided that taking a bite of apple and then putting it up his nose would be fun....that was until the GP had to pull it out and he got a nose hair as well so it hurt, he's never put anything else up there :D.
