My baby is growing up, am I strange to feel this way?

So ds2 is 4 months old. He has done the rolling thing, is starting to sit and after that all we have is crawling and walking. I feel like he is growing up too fast! I want to freeze time and keep him just like this forever. Everyone tells me I'm crazy and shouldn't wish such things but I can't help it. I don't want him to grow up! He might be our last baby, I don't know if we will go back for number 3 (heart says yes, head says no) so I just want him to stay like he is but this fast man has other ideas! Please tell me I'm not the only one who feels like this!

DD is 8.5 months...she has started her warped attempt at crawling, got her first tooth, and is pulling herself up and trying to STAND! It's not fair! I want her to stay a baby. DS seemed to stay a baby for ages, but now he's a talking back threenager! It FLIES, and I, like you, am unsure about wanting to go back for #3. Even if I did...it would happen to them too!

was just thinking the same thing yesterday!!!! my LO has just started rolling, has started mumumumu nd bubububub and although I'm so, so proud, I look through the photos of when he was born and a wee little one and wonder where my little baby went!!!! Mr Independent!!!

Most definitely not alone, and more so I think it's completely normal.

Take as many pictures as you can as as much video footage as you can, as it just flies by way too quick :hug:

Oh my gosh my baby girl is 2 months and I already feel like this. I love how precious she is. DH keeps saying how he can't wait until she's walking but I don't want her to :(

No! Ds is almost 6 months has two teeth, can roll and is saying mumma all too soon! Being my last I want it to go much slower.

Yep, not alone!! :( My little girl just turned TWO! :o and is fast becoming independent and says to us "no mummy stop singing" LOL.....!! They grow up too fast :(

I am pregnant with #2 and even this pregnancy is going too fast..... *sigh*

I think almost every mum feels this...My DD is in her 2nd year of school and my DS is at kinder now...I wish I could rewind time and have those baby moments over again

i considered stop feeding DS so he wouldn't grow up... didn't work! doh! You know waht tho, I've also been saying the same since about 4 months... and I'm still saying it... every stage is even more beautiful... he's 14 momths now I want to bottle him sans tantrums. i just try to soak it all up and cherish it!

When little lady got her first tooth...I cried.
When she started rolling....I cried.
When she learnt to sit herself up from laying down....I cried

I Love every single minute of both of my kids and if I could stop time right now, I'd be in heaven!

I know how you feel, but I think it's great you are aware of this. It makes you appreciate your bubba right now and everything that he is doing. I feel like with DD it just went by in a blur and I didn't stop and be present in the moment very much. I plan to do that much more with this baby.

I completely understand where you are coming from.. I always want to freeze time but my DH reminds me of all the great firsts we have yet to come.

School, first loves, ect ect ect.. so many other things to look forward to and I tell ya it really does just get better and better..

The first time they grab you and pull you down for a huge sloppy kiss and the first I love you mummy is always a heart melting moment

Normal. I have said it before but I think the parent-child relationship is unique in that in other relationships, the longer you know someone the more you get to know them and the deeper/closer your love/relationship is. With children it cannot be this way. The whole universe is puling them away from us so that they can lead their own lives. But this is how it is meant to be. As Kahlil Gibram wrote:
