[Vent] Brother has a trail day today and he's going to be late :(

So my lil bro has his first trial day today. First real job. He didn't know what time he was supposed to start so I found the phone number for him - took about 10 min as it wasn't on the website. :rolleyes:

He starts at 9:15. Great. That's 1 and a bit hours away. That's do-able. Or not! It takes 1.5 hours on the bus :wall:

So I found the translink info and sent him on his way. He can't even call them and let them know he's running late becase he has no credit. *sigh*

Hopefully it doesn't ruin his chances...

Maybe I should call them? What should I say?

Oh thats hard...I think it would be beneficial to give them a heads up he may be late. Make sure you tell him too so he says the same as you! i know when we have people turn up late without caling we always think they are rude for not letting us know - we are more than understanding if people tell us they were stuck in traffic, public transport was late etc etc

I called them and let them know, he said as long as he was there by 9:45 it'll be ok. :crossfingers: Brother thinks that he'll be there in 20 mins or so. Probably should have called him first but I honestly did not think that he would be on time - going by transinfo anyway. :dunno:

Better to warn them and he turns up on time than not and he's late! Hope he gets the job!

Really hope he got there on time and hopefully gets the job, fingers crossed for him.
