Feeling Hopeful
With DD we had terrible troubles and I ended up expressing full time. I figured hospital would teach me everything. Unfortunately they didn't!!!
So today at nearly 32 weeks pg I went to the ABAs breastfeeding education class. It was great!! I sooo wish I'd done it with DD. The hospital I had her was so not baby friendly, she was taken away, wrapped up no skin on skin ( and I didn't know to ask).
I have changed hospitals and they wont let u leave delivery until u have your first feed! So I am feeling more confident that we will be successful this time round.
I will be in here a lot for support too :)

Oh your new hospital sounds great! I'm glad you're feeling confident, that's half the battle I think. I had 2 failed attempts at BF with DS1&2, but DS3 is 14months and still going strong. The main differences were my determination for one! Much more education (a lot of thanks to BB:)) Also the ability to switch off and block out any wrong/outdated advice and negative comments.
If you've got the confidence and determination I think you'll do great!

Ooooh fantastic! I went to a "baby friendly" hospital and they were very pro BFing and got skin to skin and my first BF in recovery after a CS. As a first time mum, I wouldn't have thought/known to ask plus was totally overwhelmed and I really appreciated them taking the lead after establishing my intention to BF. Good luck with the birth and congrats on the exclusive expressing - it's hard work!!
