Can you take cold and flu tablest while breastfeeding?
or can you take throat soothers?
Nope, its the same as when your pregnant and can go through to the baby.
I would think soothers would be okay?~ But im not to sure.
Addit: Hope you feel better soon xoxox
Cold and flu tablets no, yes to the soothers. Drink lots of water, take panadol and try and rest. A good multi can be helpful too.
I would personally hold off on the panadol if you can. Panadol can stop fevers which will actually mean you'll be sicker for longer because unless the fever is very high and long lasting they are good for you. Temps above 37 degrees help kill the nasties, and immune cells will double their production in temperatures around 38 degrees.
Vitamin C tablets will help support your immune system, just make sure it's the non-acidic ones otherwise bubs bottom will get sore.
Fengeek tea (which is also good for milk supply) is good for reducing mucus congestion.
Gargle with honey (a big table spoon, don't be stingy) in 1/4 cup of hot water. Honey is antibacterial and will help the sore throat. ;)
You need to avoid anything which contains pseudoephidrine or phenylephrine because they can reduce your milk supply.
Some nasal sprays are safe and help a bit.

wow thanks everyone! and how interesting about the honey! didn't know that! and that sounds much better than a warm salt water gargle! ;)
Yes! Much better tasting. That's why lemon and honey tea is recommended to help fight off a cold. The honey is the antibacterial and the citric acid in the lemon helps the body to absorb fluids, therefore hydrate. Good luck with your cold and get well soon. ;)
Thankyou Yeddi
im getting over a cold and used vitamin C and brauers head cold tablets.
