My 9month old has started biting!

Ok so the title says it all! My little guy has just gone 9months old and last week got his 3rd tooth, a top one! So now that there are 2 on the bottom and 1 on the top, when he bites down it bloody huuuurts! He never really did it before though so Im not sure why he is now.
Every single time he does it I scream or jump and tell him NO and take him straight off and put it away. He does his little look away sad face where he wont look at me. Sometimes then he smiles :wall: Yesterday when I freaked out, he didnt let go for a few more seconds!! So Im not sure what to do about this, never had this issue with DS1. I was hoping to feed him to 1 year but now Im thinking maybe it is time to stop if this continues. He doesn't do it all the time but at least once or twice a day since last week.

When my LO has bitten, i put her down on the floor and just leave her for a couple of minutes. Then pick her up and try again- if i think she is still hungry. I have let out a reflex 'ow!', but i try not to scream cos i thought that she might think that was a game??

If he feels that he is slipping he will try to hang on with his mouth - and once he has a top tooth that can be a problem.
Support him really well (even go back to feeding lying down if you have to), and also put a hand on his upper back so that while he may bite he can't do the dreaded pull-away-while-clamping-on that makes it so much worse.

DS did this. Every feed for 2 weeks.

I tried everything and the only thing that worked was to not react (very hard!) and put him down for a few mins.

He did it because he was teething.

DD2 did this with her bottom teeth at 6 months, and got me so hard it drew blood, and even when I expressed next my milk turned pink eek! She stopped after 2 weeks after she got used to the new teeth. I just gave her a stern "no biting" and tried again, if she did it again that was it. I figured if she was really hungry she wouldn't be faffing around biting me. She did it a couple more times with her latest tooth, but am sure it will wear off once she's used to it. My suggestion is just to wait it out, and try not to jump too much so much as look stern, as yeah, I know DD smiled and giggled when I did that as must be amusing to them.
