Please tell me what you think about your exersaucer and/or jumperoo. Also, I recall reading that one of these may not be great for a baby's spine but I can't recall for sure so if you know about this please comment.

We had an excersaucer, and absolutely LOVED it, both kids adored it. We had an older one, but one of my friends had a newer one where they could get there little fingers stuck in the house thingy, so just be careful
I think they say not to use the jumperoo for too long as it can affect the way they learn to walk or something?
The exersaucer we used for a very short time - DS loved it till he realised I was putting him in there so I could go off and do things...
I'm not sure about spines, but I'd definately wait till they ahve good head suport and back strength before using them.
We had an Evenflo exersaucer and she loved it. We never used it for extended periods of time ie hours. But I would put her in it when I had a shower ect.
I think all things in moderation are ok. If you keep your baby in it for 20 hours of the day expect problems ;)
I think that's it - the jumperoo and the learning to walk thing - that rings a bell. I'll look into an exersaucer - the Evenflo's look pretty good.
We had a Jolly jumper DS1 was not a fan and it was a pain in butt as we had to have stand and it was so big!! We borrowed an exersaucer from friends and DS1 loved it he used from when we got it at 6 month until 12 months. He would be in it for 15 - 20 mins at a time but would love it!!
DS2 we bought an exersaucer as could not borrow friends one again as in use, and it was great he was in it from just before 5 months. It ment he was upright and could intereact with DS1 as could play with toys on it together.
As others have said in moderation they are great, have not heard about exersaucers being bad for spine, Jolly jumpers I have heard mixed stories some say yes some say no, nothing is ment for dumping kids in for hrs on end.
Jumperoo fan here, but agree, 20 or so mins per day is more than plenty!! DS loved it, he would shriek with delight - we tried him in it at the shops before purchasing
However after having a child with Hip Dysplasia though - orthopedic surgeons think items like jumperoos, jolly jumpers and baby walkers have A LOT to answer for, if used too much they definitely interfere with normal growth and development of muscles, balance and even bone growth!! Definitely in moderation!! They are definitely more beneficial to parents to amuse and distract bubs so we can have a shower or get a quick task done that having a meaningful impact on your babies development
:)
We had the Fisher Price Jumperoo and DD loved it! She bounced around in it (went nuts in it!) from 4 months onwards! She started walking 2 days before her first birthday and hasn't had any dramas at all. Actually, she's always been advanced when it comes to crawling, walking, climbing, squatting, etc. I'd highly recommend a Jumperoo
DS has a jumperoo and it's the best money I've ever spent!! He totally loves it, and like others have said, it's fabulous for when you want a shower or anything like that, I know he's always happy to play and jump. Again, I don't leave him in for long and he doesn't play in it every day but I think that's just common sense! I would definitely recommend a jumperoo :)
