Pos HPT at 3 weeks - too soon?

Hi all

I have been MIA from BB for such a long time but wanted to ask advice.

I had a bad cramp on my L) side 3 days ago and was concerned i may have ectopic so took a prg test which came back very definite positive. (cramps have subsided)

I did read something about the chance of having false positives are common around this early time.

Has anybody done a HPT at 3 weeks and pregnancy was successful?

I am just soooo surprised as i thought the hormone levels wouldn't at all be high enough!

99% of the time if the test is positive, then its positive ;) I got my BFP at 8 days past ovulation which is about 3 weeks too. Congratulations!!

Sounds like congratulations are in order :)

Can't be certain but think I got mine at about 3 1/2 weeks. So absolutely possible, you might have higher levels then the lowest it can detact iykwim :)

I got the faintest of faintest BFP at 6DPO......

Yep! I got one @ 3 weeks also. Went to the docs and got a 'weak' positive, but as the doctor said, its still a positive!
Im still going well @ nearly 9 weeks. (Much longer time to wait it out tho, haha, my first pregnancy I didnt know until 7 weeks, so the 12 weeks went much quicker)

I got my BFP at 10dpo, so its definitely possible to find out this early! I still find it crazy that I got a + test so soon lol. The reason I tested was because of what I thought was AF leaving early but I was still cramping badly. My HCG levels the next day when I got a BT was only 33 or something. That BFP is now my little man in my sig.
