Kind of urgent question about Ovidrel Trigger, cramping and ovulation....HELP NEEDED!

Hi

I have my egg pick up scheduled for Monday (tomorrow) at midday. I had my trigger injection of Ovidrel last night at 11pm.

This morning (about 9am) and I have some back pain and cramping. My boobs are aching too.

I am now starting to freak out that maybe I am ovulating now and they will miss the eggs!!!!

Has anyone else experienced cramping this soon after trigger? Do you think I am ovulating????

I would love to hear what you think!

i always felt ordinary post-trigger - all bloated and sore. it wasn't a pleasant time! they definitely managed to catch the eggies though (got 22)

Thanks Briggsy's Girl,

I think the thing that is freaking me out is I did a stim cycle last month and I dont remember cramping/back pain after trigger.

I woke up to bad news last OPU (only 2 eggs and a D&C due to endo issues). Right now, I just dont think I could handle waking up to..."Ooops, sorry, we missed ovulation!"

Hopefully I am panicking for nothing.

Egg pick up tomorrow, how exciting!!! :)
If anything, let what you're feeling reassure you... It's exactly how you're meant to be feeling ;)
You may find as today/tonight goes on, your tummy might feel tighter and more bloated - a bit of a cross between period cramps and terrible wind! It's perfectly normal :hug:

You can take comfort in the fact that your body is reacting exactly how it should be :D

I guess I will find out tomorrow...

I will hopefully be back then with a happy post bragging about egg numbers (FX :lol:)

Yep, completely normal. I had cramping and bloating and pain between each trigger and EPU. I also had 26, 32 and 20 eggs collected, so everything I went through was pretty extreme. Sometimes even before the trigger I would be walking around feeling like my reproductive organs were about to fall out because they were so heavy. I felt my ovaries jiggle with each step for a few days before the 32 egg pick up...

I hope all goes well tomorrow.

Thanks Butterfly Warrior (and everybody else!)

Just did a mad dash into the clinic after speaking to the nurses (who rang the FS). I had a blood test. Home now waiting for the results.....(waiting is all I do nowdays!!)

Hopefully all is okay. I guess if it's not, it's better to find out now rather than when waking up groggy and sore from OPU.

Sounds pretty normal, after my trigger I was so bloated and uncomfortable and ended up with 30 eggs being collected.

I do remember on the morning of EPU I could barely sit down as everything was so painful. Fingers crossed you have lots of eggs this time around...

Okay...just spoke to nurse (who spoke to FS about BT). Apparently there is a slight increase in my progesterone but she said "we would expect that after a trigger shot". My FS is happy to continue with the OPU tomorrow.

I know that is good news but midday tomorrow seems like such a long way away and I still feel a little worried!! (Damn these hormones!!!)

Hoping the follies stay strong and hold onto those eggs until then!

Sounds good!
I missed the eggs with my first cycle, but felt nothing out of the ordinary... (felt pretty ordinary after I woke..)

Okay...Just a quick update...

All in my head! I had not ovulated and they retreived three eggs. Two fertlised and grew into lovely little embryos, both of which were transferred yesterday.

Thank you all for your wonderful support and words of wisdom.

I am sure I will post lots of equally panicky posts in the next two weeks!!! Feel free to remind me I am being ridiculous :)
