the snuggle nest
hi there
just wondering, has anyone used a snuggle nest for their bub? (ie a foam mattress that looks like this with a rolled-up-towel shape around the head so that baby feels secure and sleeps better)
we used one in sweden, called the "baby nest" and really liked how it was transferrable from bed/cot/floor to wherever.... unfortunately we didn't bring it over with us and are looking to buy one over here....
a google search hasn't been very helpful - has anyone managed to find a supplied in australia?
thanks in advance!

can you describe it?
Is it a tetra bed type thing? If so, I think even BigW stock them these days.

We have one similar to these and as ~Kim~ said, they were available at Big W and I saw them just last week. They do look a little different but the same concept. Hope that helps :)
ETA: yep, their brand name I think is Tetra.

Yep that's what I thought you meant. Google tetra bed or check out BigW online.

thanks! i just looked it up - here it is!
and it's also a whopping $118 - holy moly!
does BigW have any sales coming up soon?????

Might want to remove that link, babe... they are not allowed.
What about one of those carry cots? You see them at craft places, fetes, etc. If you are a sewer you could probably find a pattern for one.
Just some food for thought, I doubt either option would meet the sids & kids guidelines. Perhaps during the day for 'supervised' sleeping but I doubt they'd be safe for night time.
