What do you use to clean your bathroom? Do you use the same thing for everything or something different for bath, shower, basin etc? What about floors? I have wooden floor boards in the bathroom, so not entirely sure what to use on it. Even plain water seems to damage it. :shakehead:
Firstly - the wooden floors. What finish do they have? If it's tung oil, then you could reapply a coat of oil to it, and possibly reseal it. washing floors - water with a bit of vinegar or meths in it, or tea (natural antiseptic). don't use a lot of water, just a well-wrung mop.
I usually use my enjo for all surfaces, but last night I had to do an emergency clean and windexed the whole thing. My mum uses dishwashing liquid. For the doors I use enjo or vinegar or meths.
I am the same as Kazbah - Enjo glove. All I need is the glove & water & I also have floorboards and tiles throughout my house & I use the Enjo floor fibre for matt surfaces (my floorboards are a matt finish). Very rarely I use Gumpton - which is like a non-abrasive cleaner sort of like Jif.
I don't have boards in the bathroom but for the rest of the house where I do have them, I use eucalyptus oil and hot water. It's a disinfectant and smells delish. In toilets etc. I use white king - my one and only 'nasty" cleaner left in the house because I love how it cleans compared to anything else and just can't drop it yet!
I use bicarb and vinegar for the toilet and basin, vinegar for the bath and floors and at the moment I use gumption for the shower because I have some left in the cupboard and it does a good job :) Once its gone though, I'll just use vinegar, and bicarb for any stubborn spots.
Enjo for everything. When the shower door requires additional love, vinegarand newspaper.

I clean the shower and the basins with shower power :hide:, and clean the plugs holes an drains with an old toothbrush. Sometimes I use vinegar and bicarb, but the shower power is always in the bathroom, instead of going to the kitchen to get what I need.
Variations of bicarb and vinegar :) we have a squeezey bottle for the vinegar, and a air pressurised bigger bottle for rinsing (for the shower)
Oh, yeah, our Little Squirt is ace for rinsing too. Or to give the tiles a quick spray before I enjo mop.
So how much vinegar and bicarb? Do you mix them together or..?
Pretty much bicarb & vinegar for everything.
I have a glass jar that I mix it in, I dump a few tablespoons of bicarb in & then add vinegar until I get the consistency i want (I use this in the kitchen as well).
I have a spray bottle of vinegar that I use around the house but mostly I just dump it all out on the bath / basin / wherever.
I did see a post in another thread here, someone who sprayed the shower with vinegar & then used bicarb in a stocking to scrub it, sounds like a good idea & I will try it when I clean the shower next :hide:
Sometimes if the toilets are really bad I tip bleach in but for spraying & wiping, either plain vinegar or 7th generation (we have had for years & haven't used it up yet)... I also have some Method shower cleaner which is really nice smelling but doesn't work as well as bicarb & vinegar.
So does your house end up smelling like vinegar? I don't think I could handle that lol.
Nope :) but I add essential oils to it anyway, love lemon, it smells fresh & it's not too exxy.
