How do I drop this feed?
Hi Ladies
After a rough start and almost giving up at 5 weeks, I have decided that 14 months is a great start for DD, and I would like to fully wean her.
She currently only has 1 breastfeed first thing when she wakes, water during the day, and then cows milk before bed.
I have been super lucky in that I never suffered from mastitis, and obviously I dont wish to start now! So, do you think it would be safe to just go cold turkey given that there isnt much supply and demand anymore? Or is there another way I should go about it?
Many thanks in advance :)

I am weaning my little one too. When I want to drop a feed I feed her after the meal so that she is full and just takes a little bit of breast so that i don't get engorged. Do this for a few days and you will notice you are not producing as much milk then take the feed out. Does that make sense??? So when she wakes, offer her breakfast straight away, or milk and then offer her breast so she takes a little but not as much as she used to, and your body will catch on up with not needing as much milk!

Thanks for that suggestion ladybirdflies. Will start tomorrow off with some solids first.
