Err could I have done damage?

Ok this whole post will be full of TMI - just warning you in advance so nobody writes "arghhhhh Mel!!!!!!!"

So DH was um, investigating before as to what my cervix might be doing, as he has been inserting EPO up the love tunnel for me since I can't reach it. But when he did, it really hurt where the end of his finger was (like inside) and it felt like he was pinching me or poking me with a really sharp fingernail. He checked his nails and they were clipped short so it wasn't that. What could it have been?

He then went on to uh... make a sperm donation :redface: and that didn't hurt at all - don't think it did any good either cos I'm pretty sure it all ran out when he evacuated the premises :doh:

So does anyone know what the pinching/stabbing feeling would have been? It really bloody hurt!

Maybe he was touching your cervix. I know when I had a VE in labour it killed like nothing else. I figure they're poking the cervix or something.

He says he couldn't feel anything like he could last time - last pregnancy he could feel my cervix because he felt this hard nose type thing lol so today he was moving his finger around trying to find the same nobby bit?

He has long fingers, about 10cm long so I would imagine at this stage he should be able to feel something cervix related...

id say it was your cervix too, thats what it felt like having mine touched.

Yeah sometimes mine hurt like that when I was checking where I was at!

I am sure it is fine, if he had short nails then I dare say it is just the cervix he might have touched or put pressure on?

Maybe your cervix has already started to change... thats why he can't feel anything...

Haha probably ;) I've had prelabour stuff for a while now, lots of tightenings and pain with it, so you never know - I might be lucky and get a due date bub!! lol

I agree it does sound like your cervix.
It may not feel like the tip of your nose because it is softening and shortening with all that pre-labour :D

Does that usually happen at the end of pregnancy even if you don't get prelabour stuff?

Your cervix naturally shortens towards the end of your pregnancy with pressure of bub growing but many woman can go into labour still long, posterior and hard. It can make for a longer labour.
The pre-labour can help prepare your body for labour. Your cervix should be effaced (shortened) and soft before it dilates so any work that your body does before labour is a bonus. :D

I agree with everyone else about it been the cervix, because when I've had a s&s that's the type of pain that I would have described.

TMI here but also sometimes pre pg when DH and I have DTD and had deep penetration he has hit my cervix and it feels like a shock has been sent.

Fingers crossed not long now.

Well, I was having a shower, & practically putting my whole hand up there trying to feel my cervix & couldn't reach it.
Then one night I felt something... the next day or the day after it started... :)

I have been getting pain like that all through the 3rd tri when DH does stuff...um....digitally. I also thought it was his nails, but on inspection of said nails, they are short and manicured! I was confused too....never thought it could be a cervix thing.

The love tunnel...sorry but LMFAO :-P
