Kids curtains
Does anyone know where I can get kids curtains from (good quality blackout ones) at not extravagant prices? I am able to find heaps of babyish ones/bob the builder, etc, but I am really looking for older child styles, specifically motorbikes if I can find them. I don't have a lot of time to trail the shops so if anyone has seen any recently and can tell me the store I would be so grateful
thanks :D
PS before anyone suggests it, I can't sew to save my life so homemade ones are out

Try Spotlight.
If you're a member you get $40 off when you spend $100 this weekend.

Thanks I will take a look there on Saturday :D

They weren't motorbike ones but they had blockout tab tops at Spotlight, which I've had for a few years now. I think they still have them. They are just plain colours.

I got an awesome Spiderman blind from Spotlight. It's completely blockout. My boys love it. And it was only $40... down from $99! 180cms wide. Fabulous.

he might be happy enough with plain colours, if we get some funky stickers for the wall. I'll ask him anyway :)

T - I just bought standard blackout curtains from spotlight, plus some patterned fabric & fabric glue - stuck borders around the curtains and several cut-outs onto the main part of the curtain.
-
Another one here with the plain blackout curtains from Spotlight. To make it look better we got a 2nd pair of curtains with the pattern and hung them just in front of the blackout ones. DH tinkered with the curtain rod to hold 2 rods next to each other. The plain and the pattern coordinate quite well together.

Thanks everyone :)
I am now wondering if I should get him blackout blinds and regular curtains, as his new room (my old study) is at the front of the house. Just to give him a wee bit more privacy. What do you guys think, good idea?

I got the kids blinds and curtains from spotlight. I went lace curtain, then blackout blind, then light curtain.

We've got a couple of blockout blinds we were planning on selling on ebay - they're pretty wide though. How wide/high is the window? They're a bone kind of colour.
I *think* they're about 180w by 120h but I'd need to check.

The window is about 95cm wide by 215cm tall, so they wouldn't fit :( Thanks for thinking of me though. I will have a look at Spotlight/Bunnings on Saturday and see if the prices and range help me decide what to do.

Thanks everyone for your advice, a friend gave me some curtains today that are a good colour, really good quality, and exactly the right size. DS1 is so pleased he gets to move into him own bedroom this weekend :D
