Ideas to entertain 18mth old in Singapore

We are off to Singapore in 10 days for 6 days. DH will be at a conference most of the time so I'll be entertaining 18mth old DD on my own. We've been to Singapore before but that was well before DD came along so I need some ideas to help keep her entertained.

I plan on going for a swim at the hotel pool with her each day, most likely in the afternoon after her nap (she sleeps in the middle of the day). I'm also going to take her to the Zoo and the Jurong Bird Park and probably the botanical gardens. I'll no doubt drag her round the shops a little bit too :lol: but are there any other toddler friendly activities in Singapore? I had thought about Sentosa but besides the underwater world, I think it's really geared at older kids (or big kids like myself :rofl:) and I think it would be a pain to take her to any of the theme parks on my own.

Any suggestions would be great!

Any tips from those who have been to Singapore (or lived there) with a toddler?

I've been trying to think what we did :) My kids were 2 & 4 when we went. We swam a lot, and ate out a lot :) went shopping. We went to the zoo, the Singapore flyer, and we went to a water park (can't remember where that was atm). There was an indoor play centre we went to as well.

The days kinda flew actually just with swimming, sleeping, and eating out. The shopping centers often had things for kids to do too.

I'm sure you'll enjoy whatever you find to do. Sounds like you have a few plans already. We found we needed a day off between activities, cos there was just so much walking in the heat and the kids would crack it. So every other day was spent sleeping and swimming :)

Plenty of nice parks to go for a walk in.
Shopping at the markets or the ones in the shopping centres with air con if the weather gets too hot

i just came back from Sing. but did not go with any children, you will love the zoo as it has a section specially for kids like a little water park i could have easily gone there multiple times , the botanic garden is beautiful too its huge and it took me 3 days to cover it all, i am not too sure if i could recommend the Jurong Bird Park its quite a fair taxi ride away and after seeing the Sing Zoo the day before i was a little disappointed as there were not too many birds up close but were hiding away and behind cages... i also went to Sentosa on the little cable car ride they were so cute brilliant views not sure how your 18moth is with heights though, the island is set up real nice with gardens/flowers and lots of little free trains which take you to the many different beaches very colourful and i would imagine it would be quite nice for children...and under water world and other parks...

You will love it either way ! i personally also loved China Town and Clarke Quay at night is a must !

I will definitely take DD to the Zoo (we loved the night safari too but will skip it as I don't think she'd get much out of it being bed time and all) and the Botanical Gardens. I definitely plan to shop (of course!) so maybe you're right Liz, I won't try to do too much. Swimming each day should tucker her out and I'm sure I can order a ****tail or two to the room while she sleeps ;)

I think you've got it all Sussed already tbh. If you want to go shopping go to vivo city as there is a kids playground there (water so take spare clothes). Same with the zoo.

There are lots of indoor play centre type things you can do, but I think they'd require a membership.
