Do you have to have something to give all the little ones who attend kid's parties?
Any great ideas for something small, simple and not sugar-laden or made of plastic? It's just suddenly ocurred to me that I might have to organise something :redface:
bubbles are always a hit
coloring pencils/crayons
little cars for little boys
really depends on how much you want to spend
For DD's party we put in some pencils and small notepads but the children at the party were a bit older.
One of the parties we went to had boxes of sultanas in her bags
I got these little tiny beanie babies from woolworths for the babies/kids who came to DD party. I put them in the lolly bags with some bubbles, a few jellybeans, balloons etc.They were really cute, some wearing little bunny outfits, some wearing little bumble bee's outfit. I think they were like $1.20 or something each :) They were a hit
I made printed t-shirts with the kids names and some skills they have
A little flower pot a packet of seeds and a shovel/watering can/hoe
I bought a pack of books from the bookstore, and put one book in each bag.
I got some paper bags with handles and some stickers from the bargain bin (or any cheap store), and decorated the bags.
A little Mr Men book or other book, a home made/decorated cookie, last year I made crayon rolls for them all, and the year before a little robot softie, little castanets or pencils/crayons,stickers, balloons, home made play doh, mmm can't think of anything else!

For DS's 2nd birthday party we did party bags. They had a small pack of sultanas, a fruit pole (those ones from the health food section that are all fruit), a milky way, a balloon, a small sheet of stickers and a little animal figurine... I think there was more, but I can't remember.

At the party we went to today, they filled a pinyata with lollies, but u can do the trinkets or whatever i guess, and once cracked open and collected, she handed out the party bags empty, so what ever they could scab grab was what they got in the party bag if that made sence?
Small books - the 'mini library' ones, 4 in a pack so 4 gifts :). Water pistols or cars for older boys, glo-sticks / glo-bracelets, skipping ropes, bubbles (various types), balloons. For the babies at DD's first birthday, I bought body suits on sale at Myer and gave them one each :)
Small musical instruments are great for younger kids too - castanets, mini maracas, bells, etc.
There are some great sites online that sell party favours
My main problem is that I'm not enirely certain who exactly is coming, and those that definitely are range in age from 20 months to 8.

I had the same issue so I got final numbers, where possible, a few days before. The body suits I bought for the babies I could return if necessary. I had a couple of older kids so I bought them pencils, sharpener & note pads. A couple of the 3-4 year old girls loved Dora so they got cheap Dora stuff - a bag, skipping rope ($2 each), etc.
yeah, but you're super organised Taurean :) And I'm a slack bugger.
I still have to buy DS' present so I'll try and sort this out when I do taht on Friday. You know, 2 days before the party.
hmm, now to think about a cake...
LOL!! Go big bubble blowers and water pistols - $2-$3 from The Reject Shop. Perfect!

Oh big w has some good fillers too. You can get bubble wand or a claw for 1 buck and a bunch of cars for 2 bucks whch u can split up
