Having used only a hug a bub and close carrier i would say close carrier 100% Its so easy to use even DH could lol and can be adjusted if become loose, with the huga bub you need to re tie it from the start if bubs feels loose and they will as you get used to it and the fabric, CC was sooooo easy and I loved the feeling of the fabric a great introduction to wraps and baby wearing :) the other bonus was my DS was a hot baby and so i didnt add the outer band on the CC but you would have to on the HaB
GL
Close carrier is great loved it!!!!!!!!
Its easy to use and no confusing tying!! You chuck over head and put baby in and pull and tighten easy!!! and comfy!!
DS2 slept really well in it from a week old until 10 months then got too heavy in it and used ergo more.
ive never had a sling or wrap before this bubs and i got recommended the ellaroo by several people
but i want mine more breastfeeding
for carrying i had baby bjorn with DS and found after a couple of months he got way too heavy and it never felt 100%
thanks ladies. Will try the CC and see how it goes
Sorry this may seem a dumb question but is the close carrier the one on the owl baby website?
I recommend the close carrier too. Like a pp said, you just throw it on over your head, put bub in, pull tight and away you go. I also used mine until DD was about 9 months when she got too heavy and i switched to the ergo :-)
I tried the HAB but was too unco (and probably impatient) to make it work. Love love love my close carrier. I used it until bubs was about 4 months when I found the ergo more supportive for his weight.
I have the sleepy wrap and love it!!! DD sits in it really well too.. It's pretty comfy, I have the ergo too but she is too big for the insert and too small without it! LOL..
Plus sleepy wrap is cheaper!! Check nursing angel online cause they had a sale?
Thanks ladies, am bidding on a CC on ebay that so far is only $20 including postage. Fingers crossed that I win
I loved the hug a bub when bubs was little and around the home was a bit tricky to use out and about. Otherwise i loved my ergo, DS is 15 months and still uses it :)
Hwo big are you? I found hte cc just didn't fit right. I think maybe as I'm somewhat short and have a very short waist. HAB is excellent - yes, it's a bit of a pain tying up, but it's extremely comfortable for baby and you.
I'm loving my ergo right now :)
what's the difference between a sleepy wrap and a HAB? They look the same
lol MadB I'm 5'5" but have big boobies so that might be a factor to consider. I didn't get that particular CC (was out and missed the end of auction by 50c  ) I have looked at the sleepy wraps (think they are the same as HAB but cheaper) as they are so close to the hug a bubs but I thought the tying on was a bit tricky and with having 5 other kids and then bubs I'm not sure I will have time to get it on lol. The CC looked so easy. Oh well will keep my eyes open for some more.
Hi KimB,
Have you decided on a Close Carrier? I cant decide between the Hug a bub or the close carrier either. Close Carrier looks easier to put on...
close carrier is amazing! even DH can use it without any issues. i love that it cuddles baby close to you and doesnt require any tying up etc. great for when you need to get baby out in a hurry or pop them back in on the run.
Hey Summertime, I am having trouble finding the CC 2nd hand so might have to go for the sleepy wrap (cheaper version of a hug a bub). I to thought the CC was easier to put on but the only ones I can buy are from the UK :o
If anyone has one that they no longer use could you let me know as I think I'd prefer the CC. Thanks
I used a sleepy wrap and found it pretty good. It was really comfy but a bit of a pain to tie. It seems to have alot of fabric that is quite heavy so for a summer baby it wasn't that great. I'll be getting a close carrier this time.
